Oconee Has One COVID-19 Death, Clarke Two In State Health Report

The seven-day rolling average of both deaths and cases declined again on Tuesday.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Tuesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • Oconee County added one confirmed COVID-19 death with the release of the Department of Public Health report on Tuesday.
  • Clarke County added two confirmed deaths from the disease.
  • The District as a whole added five confirmed COVID-19 deaths and 214 new cases of the virus.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added deaths and cases both declined.
  • Area hospitals reported declines in the number of COVID-19 patients but increases in ICU beds in use and in adult ventilators in use.
  • The state reported receiving a shipment of 87,675 additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and administration of an additional 49,047 doses.
