Oconee Sheriff's Office Crime Report

The following information was gathered from Oconee County Jail booking reports and incident reports:

• On June 16, Melissa Marie Griffin, 38, of Braselton, was arrested and charged with bad checks.
• Martiniano Saavedra, 67, of Hull, was booked at the Oconee County Jail on a charge of misdemeanor sexual battery on June 15.
• William Andrew Towe, 30, of Athens, was arrested and charged with probation violation on June 13.
• On June 13, Jacquin Alexander, 24, of Athens, was arrested and charged with probation violation.
• Naomi Laurence, 30, of Norcross, was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license and failure to maintain lane on June 12.
• Vinicius Ascencao, 20 of Athens, was arrested and charged with underage consumption and failure to maintain lane on June 12.
• On June 11, Antonio Antwain Smith, 21, of Monroe, was arrested and charged with contempt of probate court.
• On June 10, Deanna Louise Denton, 25, of Colham Ferry Road, was arrested and charged with simple battery and probation violation.
• Brett Daniel Hill, 23, of Perry, was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to maintain lane, and too fast for conditions on June 10.
• Kelly Mae Wright, 26, of Greensboro, was arrested and charged with probation violation on June 10.
• A Bogart women told deputies on June 9 that she met a man on a dating website a couple of months ago and ever since she has noticed items missing from her home.  Among items reported missing are a pedestal, $300 cash from a piggy bank, and savings bonds.
• Kevin Lee Hardy, 29 , of Statham, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance on June 9.
