Weather: 

  • The National Weather Service, says we’ll have a cloudy morning slight chance of showers before 1pm. Things should clear up and we should see a high near 63. Friday night will be mostly clear, with lows in the mid 30’s. 

Today's happenings and things you need to know:

  • There’s still time to make plans for the The Green Life Expo in Athens scheduled for today and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The event features seminars, children's activities and recycling opportunities. Admission and parking to the event are free. For a list of seminar titles, schedule of specific activities and list of recycleable materials visit the Green Life Expo website. 
  •  The first performance of North Oconee Drama Department’s presentation of 'And Then They Came for Me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank' Jan. 27 through Jan. 29. Tickets are $5 each and will be available at the door. 
  • Your last day to register for Free Teen Pride Class Offered in Oconee – The two hour course is designed to assist parents and teen drivers aged 14-16 learn what they need to do during the 40 hours of supervised practice driving time required by law.
