OYP presents Dear Edwina

Oconee Youth Playhouse will present the musical comedy
"Dear Edwina" April 3-5 at the Oconee County Civic Center.

“Kids and adults alike will enjoy this hilarious show about 13-year-old Edwina Spoonapple and her friends from Paw-Paw, Michigan,” says director Terra Hannon. “In number after zany number, they dispense advice on issues like what to do when offered icky food and how to deal with a truly annoying brother.”

The cast is composed of students ranging in age from kindergarten through 8th grade from various local schools. Many are veterans of other OYP shows.

“The show really appeals to any age,” says Shane Hannon, who along with Kelly Ozust is a co-director of the show. “The comedy is very clever and at the same time the show actually teaches values.”

Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.  Tickets are $12-16 and will be sold in the lobby of the Civic Center starting an hour before each performance. Cash or check only.
