Republicans Reclaim House District 117 And 119 Seats

Houston Gaines defeated Deborah Gonzalez and Marcus Wiedower defeated Jonathan Wallace.

Republicans yesterday reclaimed Georgia House District 117 and House District 119, held by Democrats since a special election a year ago.

On the strength of votes from Oconee County, Republican Houston Gaines defeated incumbent Democrat Deborah Gonzalez in House District 117 and Republican Marcus Wiedower defeated incumbent Jonathan Wallace in House District 119.

In Senate District 46, incumbent Republican Bill Cowsert defeated Democratic challenger Marisue Hilliard.
