Rolling Average Added COVID Cases Decreases, Average Deaths Up

The Northeast Health District added 91 COVID-19 cases and four deaths from the diseases.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases in the Northeast Health District declined with the addition of 91 COVID-19 cases.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added confirmed COVID-19 deaths increased with the addition of four deaths.
  • The rolling average of added cases fell in Oconee County but was unchanged in Clarke County.
  • Area hospitals reported a drop of 10 in the number of COVID-19 patients.
  • Oconee County Schools reported an increase in the number of Active Cases and Active Quarantines.
  • The first doses of the single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine have shipped to the state, the Georgia Department of Public Health reports.
