Rolling Averages Added COVID-19 Cases, Deaths Drop In NE District

Oconee and Clarke counties reported increases in COVID-19 cases in the Saturday Daily Status Report.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Saturday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 69 COVID-19 cases and one confirmed death from the disease.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases declined in the 10-county District but increased in both Oconee and Clarke counties.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added deaths decreased in the District.
  • Oconee and Clarke counties are below the District average in deaths per 100,000 population. Oconee is below the average in confirmed cases via molecular testing per population, but Clarke is above the average.
  • Area hospitals reported an increase by two in the number of COVID-19 patients.
  • The District administered 2,725 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines, down from 4,132 administered on Friday.
