Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District..

  • The Northeast Health District added 139 new cases of COVID-19 and one death from the disease in Wednesday’s Daily Status Report.
  • The seven-day rolling average of added cases and deaths declined in the District.
  • Oconee County had a slight increase in the seven-day rolling average of added cases, and Clarke County showed a decline in the rolling average.
  • The University of Georgia reported a drop in positive tests for COVID-19.
  • The number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals decreased by four.
  • With the administration of 1,762 new doses of the vaccine, 2.7 percent of the District’s residents now have completed the two-dose regimen.
