Rolling Averages Added COVID Deaths, Cases, Up in NE District

Rolling averages of added cases increase in Oconee County but fall in Clarke County.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Wednesday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added eight COVID-19 confirmed deaths and 123 new cases of the disease.
The seven-day rolling averages of added confirmed deaths and added cases increased.
The seven-day rolling average of added cases increased in Oconee County but dropped in Clarke County.
Oconee County Schools reported new positive tests at three schools on Wednesday. North Oconee High School has had five positive tests since Friday.
The University of Georgia reported a decline in positive tests.
The Northeast Health District is lagging the state in number of vaccines administered per population, and the gap is increasing.
