Rolling Averages Of COVID-19 Cases And Deaths In Area Unchanged

The Daily Status Report on Tuesday listed 42 new COVID-19 cases in the Northeast Health District and one death attributed to the disease.

The Northeast Health District added 42 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one death attributed to the disease in the Department of Public Health Daily Status Report issued at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

The seven-day rolling average of cases added in the district dropped from 25.0 on Monday to 24.9 on Tuesday, while the seven-day average of added deaths remained steady at 1.4.

The new death was of an 87-year-old female in Walton County with no known chronic conditions.

The 10-county Northeast Health District now has recorded 1,269 cases of COVID-19 and 57 deaths attributed to the disease.

Oconee County added no new cases on Tuesday, and its total number of confirmed cases over time is 105, with five deaths attributed to the disease.

The Georgia Emergency Management Agency, in its situation report for late Monday, listed 12 Critical Care Beds available in area hospitals, down from 24 on May 23. According to the report, the area hospitals have 70 Critical Care Beds, and 58 of them were in use.
