Rolling Averages COVID-19 Cases, Deaths Increase In NE District
The states reported a seven-day rolling average of positivity for molecular tests of 6.4 percent in Oconee County and 5.6 in Clarke County.

The Northeast Health District added 102 COVID-19 cases and one death from the disease with the release of the Department of Public Health Daily Status Report on Tuesday.
The seven-day rolling average of both cases and deaths increased slightly on Tuesday from Monday.
Every county in the 10-county District added cases, with Oconee County adding three and Clarke County adding 18. In both counties, the seven-day rolling average of added cases dropped slightly on Tuesday from Monday.

The seven-day rolling average of the entire District increased from 84.3 on Monday to 87.0 on Tuesday.
The death added in the Tuesday Daily Status Report was of an 82-year-old Elbert County male without a known chronic condition, bringing to nine the number of deaths from the disease listed in the Daily Status Report.

Across the 10-county District, the number of deaths now has reached 290, and the seven day rolling average increased from 1.6 on Monday to 1.7 on Tuesday.
The Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) reported on Tuesday the number of COVID-19 patients at area hospitals (49) was down from the day before, that the number of ICU beds in use (65) increased from the day before, and that the number of adult ventilators in use (28) decreased from the day before.
The Georgia Department of Community Health reported two new cases of COVID-19 in the long-term care facilities in the Northeast Health District.
Both of those new cases were among residents of Magnolia Estates of Oconee, 1641 Virgil Langford Road, south of SR 316, bringing to 10 the number of residents who have tested positive for the disease at the facility over time.
According to the Department of Public Health, 29 molecular tests were recorded for Oconee County on Saturday, and none of them were positive. The seven-day rolling average of positivity for the tests was 6.4, and the 14-day rolling average was 6.1
In Clarke County, 132 molecular tests were recorded on Saturday, and six of them were positive. The seven-day rolling average of positivity was 5.6 percent, and the 14-day rolling average was 5.4 percent.
