Rolling Averages Of COVID Cases, Deaths Up With 730 added Cases

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

  • The Northeast Health District added 730 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths from the disease on Saturday.
  • The deaths—in Barrow, Oglethorpe and Elbert counties—resulted in an increase in the seven-day rolling average of added deaths to 2.9 on Saturday from 2.6 on Friday.
  • The added cases resulted in an increase in the seven-day rolling average of added cases to 550.7 on Saturday from 514.1 on Friday.
  • Oconee County added 35 COVID-19 cases, and Clarke County added a record 181 cases.
  • Area hospitals reported an increase of seven in the number of COVID-19 patients.
