Rolling Averages COVID Cases, Deaths Up; School Cases Increase
For the first time ever, the seven-day rolling average of added cases in Oconee County is higher than in Clarke County.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
- The seven-day rolling averages of added confirmed COVID-19 deaths and cases increased in the Northeast Health District.
- The District added three deaths, including one in Clarke County, and 90 new cases of the disease.
- Oconee County added 20 cases, and Clarke County added 10. For the first time ever, the seven-day rolling average of added cases in Oconee County exceeded the average in Clarke County.
- Oconee County Schools reported 27 Active Cases and 140 persons in quarantine, up from 14 and 70 a week earlier.
- Administration of vaccines in the Northeast Health District continues to lag the state as a whole.
