Sheriff's Office Releases Photo of Wanted Woman

The is asking for the public's help to locate a wanted woman.

According to a Facebook post on Friday, authorities are searching for Amber Kirkland, who may be in the area of Jackson, Georgia in Butts County.

A warrant in Kirkland's name has been issued for felony theft by receiving stolen property, the post states, adding that she is also wanted on a felony probation violation warrant out of Clarke County.

Anyone with information about Kirkland is asked to contact the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.

Correction: Authorities believe Kirkland may be in Jackson, Georgia, in Butts County, not Jackson County as originally reported.  The article has been changed to reflect this.
