Snakes at the Library!

For the Children's Department's End of Summer Party, Southeastern Reptile Rescue visited the Oconee County Library on July 31st.  Mr. Jason brought snakes, most of which were native to Georgia, and taught children and families about snake safety.  He emphasized the importance of snakes and reminded families to watch where they step.  He also advised families to never attempt to kill or catch a snake.  So, instead of embracing the belief that the only good snake is a dead snake, remember that if you leave snakes alone that they will return the favor.  Check out photos from the program on the Oconee County Library Children's Section Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.627177007307483.1073741849.164584063566782&type=3
