Spring Lizards in Texas

No, not the "spring lizards" of Georgia. This is the Texas Horned Toad, that showed up every spring during my childhood.

Not a toad, of course, but a lizard. And a friendly one in spite of its ferocious looks. Easy to catch and fun to handle, if you're a barefoot boy...
