State Health Reports List 12 COVID Deaths, 425 New Cases

Three of the deaths were in Clarke County. One was in Oconee County.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.

The Northeast Health District added 12 deaths from COVID-19 in state health reports on Friday.
One of the deaths was in Oconee County, and three were in Clarke County.
The Northeast Health District added 425 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases declined.
Oconee County Schools reported 28 Active COVID-19 Cases and 127 Active Quarantines, down from 40 cases and 225 quarantines a week earlier.
The number of COVID-19 patients increased at area hospitals, but the number of ICU beds in use decreased.
Across the state, 646,800 doses of the vaccines have been administered to 6.0 percent of the state’s population.
