State Health Reports List 12 COVID Deaths, 425 New Cases
Three of the deaths were in Clarke County. One was in Oconee County.

Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
- The Northeast Health District added 12 deaths from COVID-19 in state health reports on Friday.
- One of the deaths was in Oconee County, and three were in Clarke County.
- The Northeast Health District added 425 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases declined.
- Oconee County Schools reported 28 Active COVID-19 Cases and 127 Active Quarantines, down from 40 cases and 225 quarantines a week earlier.
- The number of COVID-19 patients increased at area hospitals, but the number of ICU beds in use decreased.
- Across the state, 646,800 doses of the vaccines have been administered to 6.0 percent of the state’s population.
