Titan Tennis Splits with Providence Christian

Boys are 13-2; Girls are 12-3

The North Oconee boys’ tennis team downed Providence Christian Academy 5-0 on Thursday at the Collins Hill Athletic Club.  However, the North Oconee girls dropped a 3-2 decision to PCA. 

For the 13-2 Titans Peter Bertran won at No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0; Ray Donovan handled his opponent at No. 2 6-0, 6-0, and Kendrick Hughes took No. 3 6-2, 6-0.  In doubles action Seth Taylor and Jeff Bautista won at No. 1 6-0, 6-1, and the No. 2 duo of Stevie Hemerlein and David Sloan handled their opponents 6-2, 6-1.

The only wins for the 12-3 Lady Titans were Amber Hudson at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-0, and Mary Campbell Cobb at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-2.

Coming up next Tuesday, April 3, the Titans will host cross-town rival OCHS in the last regular season home match.
