The University of Georgia
will host an open house and instrument 'petting zoo' for the UGA String
Project on Wednesday, September 3 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. The event, which
takes place in Room 116 of the Hugh Hodgson School of Music (250 River
Road, Athens, GA), is an excellent opportunity for young students to
meet project teachers and try out all the stringed instruments! The
String Project meets on Monday & Wednesday afternoons in the fall
and provides instruction to 3rd-5th grade beginners on violin, viola,
cello, and bass. For more information, visit ugacms.uga.edu
