Update on Commissioner Chuck Horton

Oconee County Commissioner Chuck Horton underwent planned corrective heart surgery on the morning of Tuesday, June 16. The procedure was successful, and Commissioner Horton is resting comfortably. Commissioner Horton will be absent from several upcoming county meetings as he recovers from surgery, but looks forward to returning to full duties in the coming weeks. Commissioner Horton’s family expresses gratitude to everyone who has kept them in their thoughts and prayers during this time.
