In his weekly press release, Chief Lee O'Dillon recapped some of the incidents that police responded to during the week ending March 13.

• Officers responded to a traffic accident on Experiment Station Road at North Main Street at 5:27 p.m. on March 7.  Both vehicles sustained minor damage, but no injuries were reported.
• On March 12 at 12:09 a.m., police stopped the driver of a vehicle after observing it cross over the center line and nearly strike an oncoming car on Whitehall Road.  Officers arrested Richard Edward Callahan, 72, of Green Valley, Arizona and charged him with DUI and failure to maintain lane. 

Watkinsville police responded to a total of 29 calls within city limits between Monday, March 7  and Sunday, March 13, O'Dillon said.
