Why Go: To honor military personnel and their families and enjoy hotdogs, ice cream and outdoor games.

Why Go: All are welcome to attend a special service and aeterans and their spouses are invited to enjoy a complimentary BBQ at Pittard Park following the program.

Where/When: Sunday, May 27 from 4-5 p.m. at the Morton Theatre in Athens

Why Go: To listen to Athens Classic City Band perform a selection of patriotic tunes in honor of veterans.

Where/When: Monday, May 28 at 10 a.m. at

Why Go: To remember those who've made the ultimate sacrifice.  Names of Oconee County citizens that were killed in action from WWI to Operation Enduring Freedom will be read aloud.

Where/When: Monday, May 28 from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at 1840 Crystal Hills Drive

Why Go: To enjoy a classic car show, food and fellowship, and hear Retired U.S. Army Capt. Josh Darnell speak at the 7 p.m. ceremony.
