The Higher Calling Foundation invites DeKalb County families to its FREE Back-to-School Festival on Thursday, July 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Higher Calling Ministries, 2901 Wesley Chapel Road, Decatur, GA 30034.
As students prepare to head back to school, the Foundation is bringing together community partners to help families get ready for a successful school year.
Families attending the event can enjoy:
- 🎒 FREE Hygiene Essentials Packs for students (students must be present to receive a pack)
- 🥫 Food Bank Giveaway for families
- ❤️ Free Health Screenings
- 🤝 Community Resources including information and assistance for CAPS, SNAP benefits, emergency assistance, county services, and other family support programs
Hygiene essentials packs and food items are available while supplies last and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
This event is made possible through the generous support of community partners, including 1-800-TruckWreck, the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Higher Calling Christian Academy, and other local organizations committed to strengthening families throughout DeKalb County.
"Our goal is to ensure that every child begins the school year with confidence while connecting families to valuable resources that support their long-term success," said Dr. Kelli D. Spencer, Director of Higher Calling Christian Academy and Marketing & Communications Manager for the Higher Calling Foundation.
