• Georgia: 11 Suspects Face RICO Charges in Alleged $200K Retail Theft Ring Across Four States (lawenforcementtoday.com) — Several suspects from Pooler and Savannah are among 11 people indicted under Georgia's RICO law in an alleged multi-state retail theft ring tied to more than $200,000 in losses. Pooler Police joined Savannah, Chatham County, and state investigators in a long-running case targeting organized shoplifting and jewelry thefts, which officials say hurt jobs, tax revenue, and store safety.
• The United Way of the Coastal Empire announced its 2026-27 board of directors (wsav.com) — United Way of the Coastal Empire has named its 2026-27 board, including Pooler's own Heath Lloyd among returning directors helping guide funding and programs. With leaders from governments, schools, nonprofits, and businesses across the region, the board will shape how support reaches communities in Chatham and surrounding counties over the next year.
