• Eastman, Sandersville hospitals awarded federal funding (41nbc.com) — Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville is set to receive about $187,500 in new federal funding aimed at keeping rural hospitals open and preserving key services. The money, part of a nationwide HHS program backed by Sen. Jon Ossoff, can be used to retain doctors and nurses and support emergency and inpatient care for Sandersville-area residents.
