3 People Hit By Car On I-285 East In Sandy Springs: Reports
A crash on I-285 East around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning has sent three people to the hospital after they were hit by a car.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Three people were sent to the hospital early Wednesday morning after they were hit by a car on I-285 East, according to media reports.
WSB-TV has reported that according to Sandy Springs police, the wreck happened near Northside Drive around 2 a.m.
Police told the TV station two people got out of a car and were hit by another car. They were taken to a local hospital and their conditions are unknown, WSB-TV reported.

The supervisor also told me that his driver said the car that hit them kept going. Sandy Springs Police have not confirmed that. We understand his driver is going to be fine, just minor injuries. The other two people hit had more serious injuries. https://t.co/iZt11s7D0b

WSB-TV reported that lanes of I-285 eastbound were closed for hours as crews investigated, but reopened before 6:30 a.m., however not without miles of backups.
