The Sandy Springs Festival has grown from a small picnic to a major event that draws 30,000 attendees.

As the primary fundraiser for Heritage Sandy Springs -- the nonprofit organization that saved the original “sandy springs” and is dedicated to promoting history, stewarding a community park, and enhancing the cultural identity of Sandy Springs -- this celebrated community tradition has something for everyone.

“The 30th Annual Sandy Springs Festival has special significance in the light of the tremendous progress happening in our city, just a block from the historic site for which it is named,” said Phil Beeson, Heritage Sandy Springs Board chair. “This beloved community festival has stood the test of time and we look forward to reflecting on our past while looking to the future. Just in time for the Festival, the Heritage Sandy Springs Museum will open a new exhibition called Sandy Springs: Then and Now that will present an artistic history of the community’s development while simultaneously providing opportunities for reflection and discussion among residents and visitors.“

Festival-goers can shop for original art in the Juried Artists Market, dress in matching costumes with their furry friends in the annual Kiwanis Pet Parade, qualify for the Peachtree Road Race by running the Sandy Springs Lightning 10k or 5k, enjoy hands-on fun in the Children’s Area and much more.

The Sandy Springs Festival will be held at Heritage Green, located 6075 Sandy Springs Circle, and the surrounding area. Recognized as the largest event in the city, and one of the area’s best community festivals, the Sandy Springs Festival is a great event for the entire family.

Tickets are $5 for adults (age 18 and older) and $2 for youth (ages 6–17). Free entry for children ages 5 and under, as well as Heritage Sandy Springs Members. Two-day passes are also available for adults ($7) and youths ($3). Tickets are not pre-sold and are available at the Festival gates.
