Here are the top three stories in Sandy Springs today:

  1. The City of Sandy Springs has earned a AAA rating from Standard & Poor's Global Ratings. This is the highest possible credit rating for a municipality. The rating was reportedly awarded due to the city's ability to demonstrate fiscal prudence and economic resilience. Sandy Springs is the 6th Georgia municipality to earn the coveted AAA credit rating. (City of Sandy Springs)
  2. During a nationwide push to locate more poll workers, Fulton County is still searching for more than 2,000 poll workers. The county wants to hire the workers before early voting begins in Oct. The workers will be paid between $275 and $400. The county hosted a recruiting event last week to fill the positions. Click to apply. (CBS46)
  3. In just a few short weeks, City Springs Theatre Company will hold its opening night of "Anything Goes" at Byer Theatre. Described as "a hilarious shipboard romp," this production has been recently updated for contemporary audiences. The show opens on Sep. 9 and runs through the 25th. Tickets start at $37.
