Allconnect Celebrates Transfer of 500,000 Mover Calls

Sandy Springs-based Allconnect and Sacramento Municipal Utility District Celebrate Transfer of 500,000 Mover Calls

ATLANTA March 30, 2016 — Sandy Springs-based Allconnect, a national leader in connecting consumers with essential home services, today announced that it has supported the transfer of half a million calls from Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), the nation’s sixth-largest community-owned electric service provider.

Since 2002, Allconnect has offered SMUD customers a free, one-stop resource to receive personalized assistance with the selection and purchase of additional home services. Last year, Allconnect also began enrolling SMUD customers in the community solar and home power program, and is also currently engaged in a digital campaign with them to promote paperless billing.

“SMUD is one of our longest partnerships,” said Allconnect CEO Sam Howe. “Over the past 14 years, we have developed a deep partnership that goes beyond the traditional move transfer program, and we are looking forward to working with them on even more initiatives.”

SMUD customers who call to transfer or establish service have the opportunity to speak with an Allconnect home service advisor to review the numerous home service options specifically available at their new address, including satellite TV, cable TV, Internet, phone and home security systems. After discussing the plans, promotions and bundles available, the advisor then takes the order and schedules installation, providing end-to-end service.
