America's Deadliest Interstate: Our Own I-285
Atlanta's perimeter highway, which runs through Sandy Springs, averages more than three accidents every 10 miles.

I-285 is the deadliest interstate in the nation, according to a new ranking by Vox.
The highway averages 3.5 accidents every 10 miles, and had 26 fatal accidents in 2013.

The Georgia DOT says roadway fatalities climbed to 1,166 in 2015, compared to 989 in 2014, reports Fox13.
