Cobb Officer Injured, 5 Arrested After Police Chase Ends In Sandy Springs

Police say a Cobb County Police officer was injured during a police chase that ended in five arrests.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A Cobb County Police officer was injured, and five people were arrested, after a police chase ended Wednesday in Sandy Springs, police said.

Cobb County Police said the chase ended near the 4900 block of Riverview Road. The circumstances that led to the chase were not revealed.

Officers searched extensively and arrested five suspects, police said. The suspects were not identified, and police did not identify charges.

During the incident, a Cobb officer suffered a non-life-threatening injury, police said. Their condition was not immediately known, nor was the nature of the injury.

There is currently no danger to the public, police said.
