• Family welfare check leads to discovery of man found dead inside Sandy Springs home (wsbtv.com) — Sandy Springs police are investigating a homicide after 25-year-old Williams Lopez Rodriguez was found shot to death during a welfare check at The Celebration at Sandy Springs Apartments on Roswell Road. Detectives quickly identified 17-year-old Christopher Castillo as a suspect; he was arrested in Cobb County and now faces murder and firearm charges as the case continues.
   

• Nicotine Dolls Release New Single, Announce Self-Titled Sophomore Album (rock929rocks.com) — Nicotine Dolls will bring their new music to Sandy Springs on Sept. 25, performing at the Blue Stone Arts & Music Festival as part of their fall tour. The New York rock trio just released lead single "Enemy" and announced a self-titled album due Oct. 23, before heading from Sandy Springs to shows across the U.K. and Europe.
