Sandy Springs city council reallocates TSPLOST funding for Lake Forrest, other sidewalk projects (fultonneighbor.com) — Sandy Springs residents will soon see about half a mile of new sidewalk added along Lake Forrest Drive near Chastain Park, after city council shifted TSPLOST sales-tax funds to advance Phase 2 of the project. Council members also discussed additional sidewalk work on Northside, Long Island, and Hope, approved an alcohol license for a Roswell Road Chevron, and reminded voters of a November TSPLOST renewal decision.

Circular City ATL: From Local Innovation to Global Impact (globalatlanta.com) — A sustainability-focused "Circular City" breakfast and report launch is coming to the Atlanta International School's wooded Sandy Springs campus, highlighting local innovations in areas like EVs, recycling, and green construction. Business leaders, investors, nonprofits, and educators are invited to learn how Atlanta companies are turning climate-friendly ideas into commercially viable solutions with global impact.
3. GA: Mercedes-Benz Opens Tech Hub on Atlanta's Westside, With 160 Employees (tradeandindustrydev.com) — Mercedes-Benz has opened a new 60,000-square-foot tech hub on Atlanta's Westside, and a key reason for the $34 million investment is its proximity to the company's Sandy Springs headquarters. The facility will employ about 160 people focused on engineering, testing, and technical support for vehicles built across the Southeast, underscoring the region's growing role in the automaker's U.S. strategy.
4. Prosecutors Drop Case Against Former BET Host Big Tigger (urbanhollywood411.com) — Prosecutors in Fulton County have dropped all charges against radio and TV personality Big Tigger stemming from a June 20 arrest in Sandy Springs, where he was accused of injuring his estranged wife during an argument. Officials declined to pursue aggravated battery and child cruelty counts tied to a May incident at their home, and he has publicly denied the allegations while stepping back from his Atlanta radio show.
