Animal Rescue Group Needs Donations For Spring Flea Market

The Good Mews Animal Foundation has kicked off its annual Spring Flea Market in Sandy Springs.

The market opened on Friday, April 17 and will continue each weekend through Sunday, May 17 at the former Marshall’s Plaza Center.

The center is at 6317 Roswell Road Suite 6331 in Sandy Springs. Market hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Friday, May 15 and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Residents are asked to help the foundation make the market a success by donating items. Residents can drop these items off at the storefront from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 3 p.m. Sundays through May 9.

All donated items are tax deductible, receipts will be provided. All proceeds from the market will benefit the cats and kittens of Good Mews.

Items must be in good condition and working order. The organization will accept:

• Furniture (home, office, patio)
• Arts and crafts
• Collectibles
• Office supplies
• Bed and bath items (decorative pillows, quilts and comforters, tissue and soap dispensers, etc.)
• T.V.’s, digital cameras, radios, iPods, & DVD players
• Home décor and accessories (clocks, collectibles, lamps, mirrors, pictures, rugs, vases, wall items, candles, etc.
• Kitchen items (small appliances, dish ware, cookware, silverware, glassware, table linens, etc.)
• Garden supplies
• Personal care items (air purifiers, hair dryers, etc.)
• Pet care items
• Bicycles and small sporting goods
• Toys (puzzles, board games, etc.)
• Luggage (travel, briefcases, laptop cases, etc.)
• Jewelry (gold, silver, costume, etc.)
• Books, movies, music

Items not accepted are: tools and automative items, large exercise equipment, mattresses/box springs, drop-side cribs, used baby car seats, fax machines, printers, large appliances, computers, keyboards, overhead light fixtures, ceiling fans, clothing or holiday/Christmas items.
