Atlanta Franchise Expert Co-Authors Bestseller
15 Thought Leaders Share Insights on Franchising Success in "More Than Just French Fries"

FranNet of Atlanta owner, franchisee and franchise consultant Leslie Kuban just added bestselling author to her list of accomplishments. Kuban joined a rare collection of business notables to co-author “More than just French Fries”, a collaborative work on successful business ownership through franchising. “When people think of franchising it’s almost always fast food, but small business owners across Georgia are enjoying the many benefits of business ownership through franchise models totally unrelated to food service”, said Kuban about the catchy title of the Amazon bestseller.
In her chapter, titled “Family Ties”, Kuban shares her personal franchising story, which began at an early age. “My entrepreneurial journey actually started with my Dad when he left a successful corporate career to start his own business.” Leslie followed in her father’s footsteps and owned her first franchise with Mail Boxes Etc. after just graduating from Vanderbilt University. Soon after, the Kubans joined the FranNet organization. Since opening FranNet of Atlanta in 1999, Leslie and her team have helped over 400 individuals and families transition successfully into their own business. “I’m proud and honored to share my family’s story with such a highly respected group of small business thought leaders”, Kuban said about her contributions to the bestselling book.
Kuban credits the longevity of their family partnership success with having clearly defined roles and being sensitive to how the business impacts the family members not involved in day-to-day operations. “If you have a family and you have a business, then you have a family business”, Kuban explains to her clients.
