A young member of our community recently demonstrated that doesn't take a lot to help our neighbors in need. Abby decided that for her birthday she wouldn't ask her friends for gifts, instead she asked them for gift cards. Then Abby donated all 27 gift cards to various stores to CAC. Her mother said they have seen other people make such birthday donations, and her daughter wanted to do the same because she realizes that they have plenty but there are others who do not. CAC will distribute the gift cards to families in need during the holiday season. Our families who receive assistance will be so happy for the gifts! We are grateful for the gift cards, but even more grateful to our young donor for opening her heart to those who are less fortunate in our community.
