Bring Unwanted Household Stuff to Sandy Springs Recycling Center, Saturday

Want to get rid of something at home? There’s a good chance it fits into the Sandy Springs Recycling Center’s “Bulky Trash Amnesty Day,” event this Saturday.

It takes place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Recycling Center, 470 Morgan Falls Road.

Here’s what they will accept:

• Broken, unusable furniture
• Carpet, rugs
• Household Construction & Demolition Materials, such as sheet rock, window glass, lumber, wood, old cabinets, doors, residential remodeling debris

• Mattresses
• Scrap metal or metal items
• Stoves/Washers/Dryers

• Refrigerators

Do not bring:

• Paint
• Household Hazardous Waste
• Fluids Including Motor Oil & Anti-Freeze

• Household Garbage
• Tires
• Concrete, bricks, rock, dirt, sand, or crossties
• Yard Debris
