Bulky Trash Collection Set For June 1-2 In Sandy Springs

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Keep North Fulton Beautiful will host its annual Sandy Springs Bulky Trash Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2.

This event, which will be held at the Sandy Springs Recycling Center, will offer residents a chance to dispose of large, unwanted items not accepted by the private waste haulers.

The event is for Sandy Springs residents only, and participants must bring with you a driver's license or utility bill to provide proof of residency. No contractors or landscapers will be allowed to participate.

Keep North Fulton Beautiful will accept the following items: broken, unusable furniture; carpet and rugs; household construction and demolition materials such as sheetrock, window glass, lumber, wood, old cabinets, doors and residential remodeling debris (from residents only; no contractors or landscapers); mattresses; scrap metal or metal items (will be recycled); and stoves/washers/dryers (will be recycled). Please note electronics and items with freon will be accepted with their usual fees, which can be viewed in full here.

Please do not bring: paint; household hazardous waste; fluids, including motor oil and antifreeze; household garbage; tires (a collection for tires will be organized in the coming months); concrete, bricks, rock, dirt, sand or cross ties; yard waste (this can be picked up by your private waste hauler); and items from anything besides a Sandy Springs residence.
