Businessman Seeks Sandy Springs City Council Seat

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- A Sandy Springs resident is seeking to expand his involvement in the community through elected office.

Brian Eufinger has announced his candidacy for the District 3 City Council seat, which was vacated by Graham McDonald when he qualified to run for the Georgia House District 52 seat.

Eufinger is a "community advocate who is deeply involved in the zoning issues that so thoroughly intertwine and affect every facet of our quality of life in Sandy Springs," according to his press release.

He founded and leads the more than 450-member Sandy Springs Zoning Coalition, as well as the recently-launched Keep Moving Sandy Springs.

Eufinger also co-founded the Sandy Springs-based educational firm, Edison Prep, with his wife in 2011. In order to have a thriving community, Eufinger said he believes the "Sandy Springs ecosystem needs balance, one that is supportive of both residents and businesses."

The candidate received his bachelor's and master's degrees in healthcare administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Before venturing out and founding his company, he spent a decade in corporate America in the strategy realm.

"He has made his home in Sandy Springs, putting down long-term roots," the press release goes on to state. "He is dedicated to the community as both a resident and business owner."

Brian and his wife, Silvia, live in the Registry Glen neighborhood with their "feisty" Maltese named Jake.

“I welcome the opportunity to speak with many of you in the coming weeks to dialogue about your ideas for Sandy Springs, and the ideas I would hope to bring to the Council if given the chance to be your city councilman," Eufinger said. "As a councilman, I will continue to work for the community as I currently do and strive to keep Sandy Springs a great place to live, work, and raise a family.”
