Can You Eat an 11-Pound Pizza in an Hour?

Think you and a friend can handle an 11-pound pizza and eat the entire pie in an hour?

Restaurants around the world have signature dishes that they love so much that they decide to make crazy food-eating challenges out of them, according to The Daily Meal. Regardless of what the cuisine is, participants are always asked to eat an enormous amount of food, and sometimes in a limited timeframe.

One of these crazy food challenges is found right in Kennesaw and Roswell.

The Big Pie in the Sky Pizzeria challenges groups of two to participate in the Carnivore Challenge.

Two people are asked to finish an 11-pound carnivore pizza -- pepperoni, ground beef, Italian sausage, ham and bacon.

The rules are:

• You must finish the pie in an hour.
• You cannot throw up, and if you do, you get to clean up after yourself, too. But if you know you’re about to throw up, the pizzeria asks that you try to get outside or to the bathroom. No one else in the restaurant wants or needs to see that mess during their meal.
• You cannot leave the table once the time starts. You can stand up, but you cannot leave the general area. So if you need to use the bathroom, it would be very wise to go before eating.

Anyone violating the rules will be immediately disqualified.

The 11-pound pie costs challengers $50, but those who complete it get a $250 cash prize.

So far, seven teams have completed the challenge. Erik Unger and Anthony Reganato of Birmingham, AL, were the first winners, finishing the pie in 33 minutes -- the time record to beat.
