Cancer Support Community and Spruill Center for the Arts Announce Partnership

Free Resources for Cancer patients, survivors and caregivers

The Cancer Support Community Atlanta and the Spruill Center for the Arts have announced the formalization of a unique partnership that will bring a variety of art programs to cancer patients and survivors in the Atlanta community.

When the Spruill Center for the Arts first presented a flower arranging class at CSC Atlanta in the spring of 2016, the response from participants was overwhelming. The class offered therapeutic benefits to the attendees as well as the chance to gather with others survivors. With the success of this class, the two organizations chose to develop a partnership that would allow for similar classes to take place at CSC Atlanta throughout the year.

Beginning in September, Spruill Arts Instructors will provide a variety of classes at CSC Atlanta's facility located on "Pill Hill" near Northside Hospital. Classes that are being planned currently include a Wire-Wrapped Stamped Bracelet workshop, A Scarf-Making class, and holiday-inspired classes later in the fall. Like all offerings at CSC Atlanta, classes are free of charge and available to anyone affected by cancer.
