Stevens said a woman reported her vehicle was "taken by force" from the mall around 3:16 p.m.
The victim said three men approached her in the parking lot, brandished a weapon and "demanded that she relinquish control of her silver SUV, which she did," Stevens said.

As the men departed the mall in the vehicle, they were observed by a Dunwoody police officer, who tried to conduct a traffic stop on the SUV.
The driver fled the traffic stop and subsequently struck an unknown object. The vehicle was disabled and crashed on Hammond Drive near Glenridge. The driver and two alleged accomplices were taken into custody.
All three suspects remain in custody, and Dunwoody police investigators are interviewing the men to gain additional information.
No arrests have been made, and the identities of the suspects have not been released at this time, Stevens said.
Hammond Drive was briefly closed to traffic, but has reopened, Sandy Springs police reported on its Twitter feed.
