City Manager To Address Sandy Springs Rotary Club

John McDonough will update the club on the city's projects and initiatives.

Rotary Club of Sandy Springs members will get an update on what the city has in the pipeline in the coming months from City Manager John McDonough.

McDonough will speak to the club at its meeting, which starts at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23. The city manager will address the club as part of its Light Up Rotary Program.

McDonough is “responsible for the oversight and management of the largest public-private partnership for the provision of local government services in the country,” according to the city’s website.

He is recognized as a leading authority on the implementation of public/private partnerships and has presented nationally and internationally on the concept and potential benefits to local governments. Additionally, he also led the formation of the Chattahoochee River 9-1-1 Authority (ChatComm) in partnership with the city of Johns Creek.

The Rotary Club meets most Mondays at the Hilton Perimeter Suites, which is at 6120 Peachtree Dunwoody Road in Sandy Springs.

It welcomes interested business leaders, professionals and community leaders to visit for lunch. Reservations aren’t required, but may be made in advance on the club’s website.
