Fulton County received $104 million in federal COVID-19 aid. The Fulton County Board of Commissioners created the C.A.R.E.S. Act Municipal Reimbursement Program to support municipalities within the county, supporting defined pandemic-related services, projects, and programs. The allocation of funds by the County is based in part by the city’s population. The Intergovernmental Agreement qualifies the City to apply for reimbursement of COVID-related expenses under the County’s C.A.R.E.S. program, covering costs incurred from March 1, 2020, to December 15, 2020.
