The City of Sandy Springs has moved its scheduled city council meetings back to virtual-only gatherings.
SANDY SPRINGS, GA — In response to a growing number of COVID-19 cases, the City of Sandy Springs is moving its scheduled city council meetings back to virtual-only meetings. Planning commission and board of appeals meetings are suspended as of Thursday, until in-person meetings are able to return.
“We must put the health and safety of our community members first,” Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul said. “At this time when cases are increasing, we want to encourage everyone to follow the advice of health officials: wear a mask, keep a distance from those not in your household, and wash your hands frequently.”
Residents can view city council meetings online via Zoom. A link is posted on city council agendas. Meetings are also livestreamed on Facebook @SandySpringsGA.
