Comcast Wants To Recruit New Employees in Sandy Springs

Recruiters with Comcast will be on hand at the North Fulton Career Center on Monday to take applications for Rep I Telesales positions.

The company will set up shop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 5 at the center, which is at 7741 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

For those who can’t make Monday’s event can visit the Adamsville Career Center on Tuesday, Jan. 6. Recruiters will be at that center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to accept applications for the same positions. The Adamsville Career Center is located in the Adamsville Regional Health Center at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW in Atlanta.

Business attire is required for attendance, and no jeans, t-shirts or sneakers allowed.

Applicants who obtain employment will be expected to call existing customers to sell various Comcast products and services. Sales representatives must provide the following services while carrying out other responsibilities as assigned. Those responsibilities are listed below:

• Makes outbound calls to existing customers to sell xFinity Internet, xFinity Voice and xFinity Video;
• Qualifies and follows-up with sales leads;
• Keeps up-to-date on industry knowledge as well as the competitive posture of the company;
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of company products/services;
• Informs customers of new services available; and
• Demonstrates strong influencing skills with customers.

Required qualifications include but are not limited to the following:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• At least one year of sales experience, which may include telesales, work in an outbound call center or previous work in a field sales position;
• Ability to sell complex products and/or services;
• Possess an understanding of the business, services offered and/or products sold;
• Ability to work extra hours as needed; and
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and multiple programs at once
