The event kicks off with performances from the Ridgeview Middle School band, orchestra and chorus, followed by Sandy Springs Music students and the teacher concert starting around 4:15 p.m. Tickets for the program are $10 in advance or $20 at the door. Children 17 and under will be admitted for free. Children can enjoy face painting and create a take-away craft during the performances.
Sandy Springs Music owner David Szikman said all proceeds from Sunday's concert will go towards a local, deserving charity. Sandy Springs Education Force appeared on Szikman's radar when a friend suggested he reach out Irene Schweiger, that organization's executive director. SSEF designs and implements free supplemental programs to engage and support public school students in Sandy Springs to excel academically, finish high school and continue to a vocation or to college.
