Celebrating its 20th year, the 2016 Concerts by the Springs season features five performances, offering something for all ages and audiences.

“Annually, Heritage Sandy Springs welcomes nearly 10,000 Sandy Springs residents and visitors to our popular Concerts by the Springs," said Sarah Poland, director of marketing and community events at Heritage Sandy Springs. “As the series turns 20, we are excited to present another diverse line-up and we look forward to celebrating with the community all summer long."

This year's lineup is as follows:

May 8: Bogey & the Viceroy will open the 2016 season on Mother’s Day. New Orleans native Bogey Thornton and the handsome troubadours of The Viceroy ply their trade with much derring-do. Covering classic soul from every era, along with retro rock/pop to today's current chart-toppers, Bogey & the Viceroy performances lead to packed dance floors and good times. Best known for their upbeat party music, Bogey & the Viceroy provide versatile entertainment with a rockin' rhythm section and a smooth, soulful sound.

June 12: June will welcome Convoy, one of the Atlanta-based “PleaseRock” bands. The sole purpose of Convoy is to bring nostalgia to the masses. Whether you were there at the Grand Ole Opry back in the day or the kid who grew up listening to your parents’ southern rock, Convoy has you covered.

July 10: In July, the summer heat brings with it Electric Avenue, the most accurate and exciting 80’s pop tribute you’re going to find anywhere this side of 1988. Having been invited to share stages from Los Angeles to Tampa by the likes of Pat Benatar, Bobby Kimball (Toto), and Jimmy Kimmel, and at sea by the Walking Dead Cast Cruise and the Gronk Cruise with Rob Gronkowski (New England Patriots), Electric Avenue knows how to take nothing seriously except for the songs.

Aug. 14: Atlanta-based A1A – the official and original Jimmy Buffet tribute show – will bring the beach to Sandy Springs in August. Jeff Pike and A1A hold the crown as being the first and only tribute show ever sanctioned by Jimmy Buffett himself. A1A performs as a seven-piece band, complete with audio and light production, bringing to life a colorful, energetic, and family-friendly show.

Sept. 11: The 2016 Concerts by the Springs series will close out with Band X, a high-energy group dedicated to providing interactive live entertainment. Based in Atlanta, Band X has been on the music scene since 1996. Their songs range from 60's soul to 80's classic rock, and from 90's hits to today's current top-of-the-pop chart favorites.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to picnic with family and friends. Gates open at 5 p.m. Blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers are welcomed; no outside tables permitted. Smoking is prohibited. No pets, except for special assist animals.
