Deadline To Register To Vote in Sandy Springs is Monday

Advanced voting in Sandy Springs and north Fulton County for the Nov. 4 general election will start on Oct. 13.

Sandy Springs residents who wish to vote in the Nov. 4 general election but have yet to register will have until Monday to do so.

The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming election ends is Oct. 6. Residents who have a valid Georgia’s driver’s license or identification card can go online and register to vote, the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office said in a press release.

The GA Votes app also allows Georgians to register to vote. Using the MVP feature on the app, Georgia voters can view their specific sample ballot, find their polling locations, check voter registration status and track the status of their absentee ballot.

All of this information is available on mobile devices on iOS and Android platforms. To find the app search for GA Votes in the Apple app store or the Google Play store.

Early voting in Johns Creek and Fulton County starts Oct. 13 and ends on Oct. 31.

All locations are open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

Starting Oct. 13, early voting will be available at these locations: October 13 – 31

  • Johns Creek Environmental Campus, 8100 Holcomb Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30022
  • North Fulton Annex/Service Center, Room 232, 7741 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, GA 30328
  • Ocee Library, 5090 Abbotts Bridge Rd., Johns Creek, GA 30005

On Oct. 20, advanced voting will expand to the following locations:

  • Roswell Library, 115 Norcross St., Roswell, GA 30075
  • Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library, 9560 Spruill Road, Johns Creek, GA 30022
  • Milton Center, 86 School Drive, Alpharetta, GA 30004
  • Sandy Springs Library, 395 Mount Vernon Hwy. NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328

No voting will take place on Nov. 3 and all county precincts will open on Tuesday, Nov. 4 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the general election. The runoff date for state and local general election is set for Dec. 2 while any federal runoff election would be held on Jan. 6, 2015.

The Fulton County Voter Registration Office handles voter registration for all Fulton County residents regardless of the city or unincorporated area where they reside.
