Deborah Silcox Wins House District 52 Seat
The seat, which encompasses portions of Sandy Springs and Buckhead, was previously held by long-time State Rep. Joe Wilkinson.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA -- Unofficial results show Deborah Silcox will become the next state representative for Georgia's House District 52 seat.
That's according to unofficial results on Georgia Secretary of State's website, which shows Silcox leading challenger Graham McDonald with 57 percent, or 1,725 votes. McDonald is currently pulling in 43 percent, or 1,320 votes.
Silcox will succeed retired State Rep. Joe Wilkinson, who supported Silcox in the race.

That race got off to a sensational start when Wilkinson alleged that McDonald and his supporters worked to sabotage his re-election bid.
McDonald resigned from the District 3 seat on the Sandy Springs City Council to run for the state house.
